Medicare Advantage Plans, sometimes called “Part C” or “MA Plans,” are offered by private companies approved by Medicare. Typically, the plan also includes prescription drug coverage. Many plans also offer additional benefits, such as dental coverage or gym memberships.

Medicare Part D prescription drug plans are also known as PDPs. These are standalone plans that can be purchased through private insurance companies. PDPs provide coverage for prescription drugs and medications and may also cover some vaccines too.
